Andrea Hornby

Andrea Hornby

Andrea Hornby (writing as Andrea Christodoulou) is born and bred Liverpool but is of Greek heritage as her dad was born in Cyprus. Her Greek upbringing and general love of the culture was the inspiration behind her first novel, It’s All Greek to Me a book which she hopes will give readers a knowledgeable insight into her beloved ancestors…and just generally give people a laugh.

Andrea has always had a love of creative writing, which was ignited in her teenage years when, after reading one book, decided she wasn’t satisfied with the ending so started writing a sequel! Life unfortunately got in the way and Andrea went on to pursue a busy career in the tax world, but the writing was always her true passion, which she kept alight by writing the occasional short story.

One of these stories, The Memory Box was recently published on the Isabella and Us blog, which aims at promoting positive wellbeing in parents. Andrea particularly enjoys writing humorous fiction and giving readers a place to switch off from the mundane every day and have a good LOL. As well as writing for ‘grown ups’, Andrea also enjoys writing children’s books, which she self publishes. Her children’s books, Rosie and The Magical Maraca and The Boy Who Lost His Bounce were local successes. Andrea lives in Liverpool with her husband and their two beautiful children, Rosie and Theo.

Andrea has signed an exciting deal for her debut novel. The book is due to be published in the summer of 2025.
