Helen Parusel signs multi-book deal with Boldwood Books

Debut author Helen Parusel has signed a three-book deal for her historical fiction series with award-winning independent publisher Boldwood Books. Emily Yau, Editorial Director, acquired world English language rights from Clare Coombes at The Liverpool Literary Agency.

Helen’s series will include a first book based on the Nazi invasion of Norway in 1940 and will be published in May 2023; while her second is inspired by war stories from her mother’s homeland of Austria, where she spent her early holidays.

Clare Coombes commented: “I am so excited to see this wonderful series with Boldwood. Readers are going to love the gripping and emotional stories of resistance and romance. Helen is an amazing writer, offering a fresh perspective on WW2 historical fiction, taking us into new areas and little-known events.”

Helen Parusel said: “I’m beyond thrilled my debut has found a home with Boldwood and excited to be starting my career with such a dynamic publisher. The team are great and I’m lucky to have an amazing editor. I will be forever grateful to The Liverpool Literary Agency for believing in my story and helping my dreams come true.”
